Membership
The membership of the Research Ethics Committee is as follows:

(One representative from Schools of Social Work, Psychology, Business, Christian Ministry and General Education)

*Others may be co-opted as and when required.
(Note: A member shall not participate in the review process when his/her own research proposal is being considered).
Terms of Reference
The Research Ethics Committee (henceforth the Committee) makes recommendations and reports to the Academic Board regarding research ethics issues.
The Committee is responsible for:
- Developing the college research ethics policy and guidelines relating to ethical review of research or course-based activities involving human participants.
- Planning, monitoring and auditing implementation of the college research ethics policy and, in doing so, protecting the interests of potential research participants.
- Considering research proposals by staff/students for experiments, investigations and related procedures, and approving, referring or declining proposals.
- Overseeing the provision of training and advice on research ethics to relevant members of college staff and students.
